For many years, H L Smith Transmissions have remanufactured Automatic transmissions and has included them in their product range for more than a quarter of a century. During this period, the requirements for these transmissions have grown tremendously within the heavy commercial vehicle sector including Municipal and PSV applications, especially with Allison Transmission, a product that now maintains one of the leading positions in the marketplace.
All the hard work and experience gained by H L Smiths came to fruition as the company was formally appointed as an ‘authorised direct rebuilder’ for Allison Transmissions on 1 April 2018. H L Smith now have the authority to remanufacture transmissions to Allison’s standards.

H L Smith now offers a complete range of Allison transmissions. This includes 1000, 2000, 3000 and 4000 series units which can all be supplied on service exchange and come with an outstanding two-year warranty.
